The Rent Fan-Fiction Challenge

This page is an atempt to a) challenge Rent fan-fiction writers and b) get a greater variety of Rent fan-fiction on the 'net.

New contest, guys!

The story must involve/mention (pick four):
-a fistfight between two characters
-a letter/phone call from a parent of one of the characters (not Mark's mom, just because we see so much of her already)
-some kind of animal
-an argument over the difference between Coke and Pepsi
-ordering something at a restaurant and getting the wrong thing
-a performance artist piece by someone OTHER than Maureen

(I might add more or change the number required, but just to be fair to anyone already starting I won't take any of these off)

The prizes for this time aren't so exciting.  While I didn't get into any trouble for giving away bootlegs as prizes last time, it really wasn't such a smart idea.  However, I do have some Rent stuff lying around my room.

First prize: Either a playbill from the Springfield run of the Collins cast or a playbill from the Wallingford run of the Benny cast
Second prize: Either a playbill from the Springfield run of the Collins cast or a playbill from the Wallingford run of the Benny cast (basically, the second place winner gets second choice)
Third prize: A flyer advertising Rent at Symphony Hall in Springfield

I'll post rules later, but I just wanted to get the creative juices flowing.  Since now the criteria has changed, there will be some amount of points awarded to how creatively you fit the criteria in.  This one is going to end around the second or third week or April so that I can hopefully get the judging done over my vacation.

Rent quote of the moment: "Close on Roger: His girlfriend, April, left a note saying "We've got AIDS" before slitting her wrists in the bathroom."-Mark, Tune Up #3 (kind of depressing, but I've had it in my head lately).
